So...Littlest

Littlest (real name Noah Lynn) came into my life (and yours!) October 29th, 2015 and I could not be happier.  As I type this, and I am not kidding, she is attempting to put rain boots on the wrong feet.  I have now told her, as I am typing, “wrong foot” at least five times. She does not give a shit (but really who wants to receive said shit?) about my advice, she will continue to do it her way.

I feel like I need to fill you in on the Noah Lynn (yep, Noah is girl, wanna fight about it?) way:

Her favorite food in the world is popsicles.  It does not matter what kind, I accidentally bought sugar-free popsicles once, she did not care.  She would eat them in the cold, she would eat them in the heat, she would eat them when they are old and she would eat them made of meat (what?!?). She is holding one while I tell her “wrong foot” again (proof above).

Her least favorite thing is sitting at the table and eating.  Holy mother may I, she would rather not eat than miss anything going on in the world. She needs to be where the action is (and in this house she has to do some serious searching, unless you count folding untold amounts of laundry action…didn’t think so). She is a total social butterfly that loves everybody and animals, cows are her favorite (I am so sorry to the poor person in the Chik-Fil-a cow costume that she accosted, true story).  She has a lot of love to give, so using Paul McCartney’s formula for love, she is in good shape.

Her favorite toy is my biggest nightmare, Play Doh (D’oh for you Simpsons fans out there). She will squeeze it, press it, pull it, eat it (don’t tell Dinkus), but most importantly she has not ground it into the furniture or between the floor slats.  Maybe she will be an artist, doubt it, have you seen my stick figures (still crooked).

Her favorite people are far and away her big brother, Stud, and big sister, Blonde Blur (which is good because while I don’t have a favorite kid, some days I have a least favorite kid). I admit I get emotional when I see the three of them together. You can sense the love they have for each other, but you can hear it from Littlest.  When Stud and Blonde Blur get home she literally screams in delight.  She will immediately stop what she is doing to chase them, or skip after them (it’s adorable, but I admit I’m biased…actually it’s adorable, deal with it). Her brother and sister are amazing with her, so I am sure that makes her more excited to see them, which also makes it hard for her when they leave. It breaks my heart because she is visibly upset to say good -bye.

She is a nice mix of Dinkus and me.  She has Dinkus’ laugh and ability to make me smile even when I am dealing with a chest cold.  She has her mother’s eyes (not literally, that’s gross) but my smile and hair color (Swedes!). She eats like a horse, that is me. She is ornery, that is her mother. She craps her pants, her mom again (testing…testing…is this thing on?). Most of all she is 100% her own.

Every time I think I have her figured out she surprises me…like when she proved absolutely, positively wrong about not wanting to have another child.

Oh yeah…she also laughs when she farts.
